12 people killed, 8 injured as unknown gunmen invade Kaduna communities

12 persons have been reportedly killed and 8 others injuries when unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked Birnin-Gwari and Giwa local government area of Kaduna.

CRIMECHANNELS gathered that the bandits invaded Kidandan and Kadai villages between Friday and Saturday for the attacks.

A source who pleased anonymous told newsman that 12 people were killed by the bandits, and 8 others sustained bodily injuries.

“The attackers came in large number, they besieged Kidandan Friday afternoon killed three people and four wounded while on Saturday night, the gunmen killed nine at Kadai village and four were in critical condition, ” he said.

He also said that the district head of Fatika, Alhaji Nuhu Lawal Umar, has appealed to the Kaduna state government to deploy additional security personnel to safeguard lives and property of locals in the trouble communities.

Efforts made to contact the Kaduna Police spokesman, ASP Muhammad Jalige, proved abortive as he did not respond to the calls.
