2023 Election: INEC’s Certificate of Return like World Cup – President-elect

President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has disclosed that the Certificate of Return presented to him by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is like a “World Cup” trophy.

Recall the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] had declared All Progressives Congress [APC] Presidential candidate, winner of the Feb 25th General election with PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, and LP’s Peter Obi coming second and third respectively.

Tinubu made this remark while on a a visit to the Palace of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akinolu, on Sunday.

Speaking at the palace, Tinubu said: “The journey that we embarked upon, we have returned home with a certificate.

“It is like our own World Cup and I thank you all for the effort.”
