A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Saheed Akinade-Fijabi, has said that there would be the emergence of a third party if the ruling party denies former Lagos State Governor and APC’s
National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu its presidential ticket in 2023.
CRIMECHANNALS gathered that that Akinade-Fijabi, who was a former member of the House of Representatives, made this known on Saturday, May 15, when he appeared on a radio programme in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.
He stated that another political party may come on board in favor of Tinubu to tackle the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He said, “Our people are unpredictable, there might be emergence of third party to counter the 2 existing ones (PDP and APC) if Asiwaju Tinubu is denied presidential ticket by APC in 2023.”
Fijabi, however, said that APC would come back stronger in 2023 in the Oyo State.
“Reconciliation is currently ongoing within the party to bring back all the aggrieved party members into one fold, ” he added.
