42 Obaseki’s aides resign ahead of Edo guber election [full list]

Ahead of the Edo state gubernatorial election, 42 appointees of Governor Obaseki have tendered their resignation.

The election which scheduled to take place on the 19th of September has seen so many twist and turns.

First, it was the disqualification of Governor Godwin Obaseki by the APC screening committee from participating in its primary election due to a discrepancy in both of his NYSC and degree certificate.

Days later, the Governor decamped to the people’s Democratic Party(PDP) where he was eventually screened and selected as the party’s candidate to pursue his re-election bid.

However, since the Governor decamped to PDP, he has witnessed a reduction of aides and loyalists who were once attached to him when he was a member of the APC.
