After merciless beating, Terrorists release three kidnapped train victims

The abductors of the Kaduna-Abuja train victims have released three of the remaining 43 victims.

Bandits flogged the 43 victims on Sunday and threatened to kidnap President Muhammad Buhari and Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The three victims, two men and a woman, may have been among those who were severely beaten on Sunday.

They were released, however, around 11 a.m. on Monday morning, after relatives picked them up along the Kaduna-Abuja road.

Although it was not immediately confirmed at the time of filing this report whether a ransom was paid, it was learned that 40 victims are still being held captive by kidnappers in the forest.

Efforts to reach DSP Mohammed Jalige, Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna Police, for confirmation proved abortive as he did not pick his calls.
