Anambra Guber; APGA Supporters lament delay in announcing winner after Supplementary poll

Supporters of Prof Charles Soludo, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra election, have been lamenting over the delay of the declaration of a winner.

The APGA candidate is leading his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, Mr Valentine Ozigbo, by over 50,000 votes.

However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the election inconclusive because there was no voting in Ihiala.

A supplementary poll held in Ihiala, on Tuesday, but the exercise kicked off far behind schedule.

Although the supplementary poll was scheduled to commence at 10am and end at 4pm, voting did not start in some places as of 2pm.

This had led to a delay in the final collation, which was fixed for 9pm but had not commence as of 12:35am when this report was filed.
