BREAKING; 457 cases of COVID-19 recorded in Nigeria; total now 44 890

Four hundred and fifty seven (457) confirmed new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Nigeria.

This was disclosed by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its COVID-19 daily update via its official Twitter handle.

According to the Centre, Lagos State recorded 137 new cases of confirmed coronavirus, followed by FCT with 76 new cases, and Plateau State with 40 new cases.

Kaduna, Anambra, Ogun, Imo, Bauchi, Osun, Nasarawa, Kano and Ekiti are States that recorded less than ten coronavirus cases in the last 24hrs.

A closer analysis of the report also indicates that total number of coronavirus infections in Nigeria has jumped to 44,890 cases. Out of these cases 32,165 patients have been treated and discharged, while 927 deaths have been recorded.
