[BREAKING] Obaseki meets with Secondus, Wike, Tambuwal others

Following his disqualification by the All Progressive Conngress from participating in the forthcoming primary election of the Party in Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki has reportedly met with Governors from the Peoples Democratic Party in order to declare his intentions of moving to the party.

According to Vanguard, the meeting, according to reports, held in Abuja, as Governor Obaseki met with the National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, Governor Nyesome Wike of Rivers State, and other top PDP leaders.

A source disclosed that the meeting, which was held behind closed doors, is meant to ease the path for Obaseki, in order to make him the flag bearer of the party in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

Recall that Obaseki had earlier visited President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, before he announced his decision of leaving the All Progressive Congress (APC).
