One of the persons who allegedly looted commerial banks in the Lekki area of Lagos state on Tuesday night has been nabbed by Police operatives.
The Lagos state Police command made this disclosure on Wednesday in a press release. The command also revealed that an undisclosed amount of cash was recovered from him.
This is coming on the heels of the violence that marred the Lekki area on Tuesday night, after it was alleged that soldiers opened fire on unarmed protesters.
The alleged death of protesters led hoodlums to go about destroying public properties, destroying shops and carting away with valuables worth millions of naira.
According to reports, several banks such as Polaris, access and zenith bank in the area was set ablaze by angry thugs.
