BREAKING: Police react to arrest of Labour Party Chairman

 

The Nigerian Police, Edo State Command has confirmed the arrest of the Labour Party (LP) National Chairman, Barr Julius Abure in Benin City, the Edo State capital.

The arrest by Zone 5 operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, according to AIT, follows a petition against him over alleged assault, molestation, and illegal possession of firearms.

Abure was in Benin City for the Edo LP Governorship primaries scheduled to hold on Friday, February 23 for nomination of the party’s candidate for the September 21 polls.
