BREAKING: Police take over Ajimobi’s residence

The Agodi GRA residence of the deceased Ex-Governor of Oyo State, Isiaka Abiola Ajumobi, has been taken over my operatives of the Oyo State Police Command.

Following the demise of the Ex-Governor Ajumobi, his family members, according to reports, prefers burying the remains of the deceased at his residence. However, the Oyo State government, disapproved that due to ligitation over ownership.

Reports from the Agodi GRA revealed that two Police vehicles, a Hilux patrol van of the State Anti crime outfit, Operation Burst and a white Kia Rio used for State Security patrol were parked beside the building with stern- looking security operatives.

The movement of the Oyo State Government, has however sparked different opinions from different sources, who are trying to give justification to the development.


While some claim that the security could be there to prevent any possible disobedience or likely forceful entry into the property by the family or close associates of the former Governor, others claimed that the move is likely to prevent the family from burying the ex-governor at the residence.

It would be recalled that the Ex-governor, aged 70, died at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos, after slipping into a coma following Coronavirus complications on Thursday June 25, 2020.
