BREAKING;481 new COVID-19 cases recorded as FCT overtakes Lagos

Four hundred and eighty one (481) new cases of coronavirus infections have been recorded in Nigeria.

This was disclosed by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily COVID-19 update via its official Twitter handle Thursday evening.

According to the Centre, FCT leads the way with 96 new COVID-19 cases, followed by Lagos State with 89 new infections, and Plateau State with 68 new cases in that order.

Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi, Bayelsa and Yobe are States with less than 10 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24hrs.

A closer look at the statement reveals that total new coronavirus infections in Nigeria is now 42,689 confirmed cases. Out of these cases 19,270 patients have been treated and discharged, while 878 deaths have been recorded.
