CP praises residents for protecting Command Headquarters during #EndSARS protests

Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed Ali, has showered praises on the people of Warri for not setting the Warri Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) ablaze during the October 2020 endsars protests.

CRIMECHANNELS learnt that the Police boss commended the people during visit to Warri on Saturday.

He said, “Let me thank Warri people for not setting this place ablaze during the endsars protests.”

The Commissioner in his statement also emphasised on the importance of community policing in the state. He urged all stakeholders involved in security matters to make sure they play their part in security the lives and property of the general public.


“All stakeholders must join hands with the Police in combating crime and criminality with a view to making the community safe for all, “he said.

It could be recalled that on October, 2020, many Nigerian youths including elderly persons took to the street across various states to protest Police brutality and harassment.

The protest it was gathered lasted for several days and was marred with high level of destruction as well as killings. Many officers lost their lives across all states, while according to the Nigeria Police Force, more than 22 Police formations were set ablaze.
