Cultists give School Principal 24 hours ultimatum to recall suspended members or face their wrath

Some suspected cultists who are Students of Uyo comprehensive High School in Akwa Ibom, have allegedly given their Principal, Mr Michael Iwok, 24 hours to call back some of their members who were suspended from School.

CRIMECHANNELS gathered that the cultists, in an attempt to pass their message across to their Principal, left some fetish objects such as fresh pepper, palm oil droplets, peeled cooked egg, palm front, a piece of red cloth, tied rope and 10 naira notes at the entrance of his office.

According to reports, it all started when some students suspected to be cultists were recently suspended by the school authority due to their bad behaviour.

The students then went ahead to threaten the Principal of the School that he had 24 hours to recall them or face consequences.

However, due to the tensed atmosphere in the school, caused by the cultists who are hell bent on causing trouble through violence medium, the Akwa Ibom State Government ordered the School to be closed pending when the tension dies down.

The Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board (SSEB), Dr. Ekaette Ebong Okon announced the immediate closure of the school on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer of Akwa Ibom State Police Command, SP Odiko MacDon when contacted said the closure of the school over threats by suspected cultists has nothing to do with the Police.

“The Government closed down school, it has nothing to do with us the Police, ” he said.
