One of the hoodlums suspected to have carried out an attack by setting ablaze the Oba Market Police Station located in Ring Road, Benin by on Monday has been arrested by the Edo state command.
The command also revealed that it recovered an AK47 rifle which was stolen by the suspect before he set the station ablaze.
CRIMECHANNELS earlier reported that hoodlums had hijacked the #ENDSARS protest, and unleashed mayhem in the state.
The suspect, whose identity is yet unknown at the time of filling this report, was taken to the Edo Police Command Headquarters alongside the AK47 rifle.
According to the video, Policemen could be heard raining curses on the suspect as he was alleged to have killed one of their colleagues.
According to reports, the hoodlums equally burnt down four other police stations at Ugbekun, Idogbo, Dumez and Ogida alongside the Oba Market Police Stations, thus forcing the state government to impose a 24-hour curfew on the state.
