Five suspects connected to armed robbery, kidnapping arrested by Police operatives

Operatives of Adamawa State Police Command have reported the arrest of five (5) Suspects linked with the series of Armed robbery and Kidnapping activities in the State.

This development was disclosed in a statement shared on X by the Adamawa State Police Command, on Monday, May 13.

According to the statement, the arrest was as a result of a timely response to distress calls made to police that, the road linking Numan and Jalingo of Adamawa and Taraba States respectively, was blocked by armed robbers.

The statement reads: “Adamawa State Police operatives in collaboration with Hunters, on the 10/05/2024 arrested five (5) Suspects linked with he series of Armed robbery and Kidnapping activities.


“The arrest was as a result of a timely response to distress calls made to police that, the road linking Numan and Jalingo of Adamawa and Taraba States respectively, was blocked by armed robbers.

“The immediate and timely response yielded a Positive result as five out of seven were arrested.

The Suspects, Adamu Usman, 25years, Sule Abba, 20years, Abdullahi Muhammed 20years, Aliyu Abubakar 26years, and Isah Musa 25years, all residents of Kedemure and Barikin Sajo of Demsa and Song Local Government areas.
Were on the 9/05/2024 at about 11:30pm armed themselves with offensive weapons, Blocked Numan/Jalingo Road, Robbed Commuters of their belongings and Kidnapped three from the passengers into thick Forest.

“The Command response team aggressively gave a hot chase to the kidnappers leading to their arrest, recovery of offensive weapons & successful rescued of the kidnapped victims.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris Psc (+), while expressing happiness Adamawa State Police commended SP Begina Umar, DPO Demsa, his men and Hunters for gallantry performance displayed, directed that the suspects be taken to Crack Squad Unit of the Command for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.”
