No fewer than 4 persons have been killed in fresh attacks by armed bandits in Kagara community of Niger state.
It could be recalled that Kagara was in the news on February 17, when some armed bandits invaded the secondary school and abducted several staff and students.
However, according to report, the students and staff were released around the time that news broke on the fresh attacks in Kagara.
Sources from Kagara told the newsmen that 11 victims, including 6 women, were kidnapped in different villages, adding that the armed bandits were said to have first struck at Gidan Adamu, near Yakila, headquarters of Gunna district.
The source also noted that the district head of Yakila, who was kidnapped many weeks ago, has remained in captivity till date.
The source stated that the bandits attacked another village called Gidan Wamban Karaku and abducted 7 women, 2 of whom are nursing mothers.
It was learnt that the bandits also rustled a large number of cows and headed to Madaka district, where they kidnapped the Imam of Rubo village.
