Gov doles out N7milliin to local Tailors to produce facemasks

As Coronavirus infections continue to be on the rise in Nigeria despite various interventions being put in place by governments and with Kano having 951 active cases of the infections, the State has seized the opportunity the pandemic provided to empower local artisans.

The Governor of the State on Saturday awarded Kano State local tailors the sum of N7 million for the production of 140 thousand face masks.

In a ceremony in the State capital, Dr. Ganduje presented the cash sum to the leadership of the indigenous tailors, stating that the face masks would be provided to various groups for distribution to the teeming populace.
