Governor announces portfolios for his cabinet, appoints self as Commissioner for Works
Osun State governor on Wednesday announced his new commissioners after their screening by the state House of Assembly.
The governor, who announced himself as the Commissioner for Works also appointed his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi as the state Commissioner for Sports and Special Needs.
The governor also gave portfolios to two former commissioners in the state, Kolapo Alimi and Biyi Odunlade, who both served under the administration of a former governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
While Barrister Kolapo Alimi was made the Commissioner for Information and public enlightenment, one Barrister Dosu Babatunde was appointed as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Others include Moshood Olagunju (Commissioner for Youth Affairs), Hon. Soji Ajeigbe (Commissioner for Government Affairs and Protocol), Jimi Bada (Ministry of Justice), Ayo Awolowo (Commissioner for Women affairs) and Hon. Eluwole Sunday Adedipo (Commissioner for Education) among others.
Hon. Olusesan Oyedele was made the Commissioner for Transport, while Dr Basiru Salamwas made the Commissioner for Internal Integration and Special Duties.
Hon. Olufemi Oroniyi is the new Commissioner for Water Resources, while Prof Moruf Ademola Adeleke is the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.

Bunmi Jenyo (Commissioner for Commerce and Industries), Mr. Shola Ogungbile (Commissioner for Finance), Hon Tola Faseru (Commissioner for Agriculture), Barrister Jola Akintola (Commissioner for Health), Hon Mayowa Adejonrin (Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation), Hon. Festus Adeyemo (Commissioner for Energy), Hon. Aderibigbe Rasheed (Commissioner for Home Affairs), Hon. Ojo Fafa Abiodun (Commissioner for Culture and Tourism),
Ganiyu Olaoluwa Asejere (Commissioner for a Rural Development and Community Affairs), Hon George Alabi (Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning), Hon. Bayo Ogunbangbe (Commissioner for Cooperatives and Empowerment)and Hon. Biyi Odunlade (Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relation).
