I have killed 5 kidnap victims- Gang killer tells FPRO

Musa Umar, a suspected member of a notorious gang upon interrogation has made a confession about his activities as the executioner of the gang.

22 years old Umar on Wednesday was paraded alongside other member of his gang in Abuja by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba.

The suspect, Umar said that he joined the gang about three years ago in Kaduna, adding that he plays the role of executioner for the group.

The suspect, who spoke in Hausa, disclosed that he had so far killed three men and two women, all from Katsina State.


Speaking through an interpreter, he said, “I am a farmer and also a kidnapper. I was engaged to kill victims by my gang members and so far, I have killed five persons. They comprised three men and two women, and they were all from Katsina State.”

In another case, 24 criminal elements have been arrested, according to the FCT Police command, the command also said it recovered various dangerous weapons from them.

The recovered weapons and items include, four locally-made pistols, one Dane gun, one revolver, pieces of ammunition and 26 phones and 22 SIM cards, among other items.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, while parading the suspects told residents that adequate security measures had been put in place to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration in Abuja.

The CP also urged members of the public to adhere strictly to the rules of the NDDC, adding that since there was a pandemic, everyone should wear a mask.
