I wanted to sell co-Wife’s two-year-old boy because I was broke

A woman identified as Aisha Ibrahim, has been arrested by the men of the Zamfara State police command for allegedly trying to sell her co-wife’s two-year-old boy in Gusau, the state capital

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Ayuba Elkanah, who made this known in a statement, said the operatives that nabbed the woman acted on intelligence before tracking her down the Tullukawa area of the Gusau metropolis.

According to the police commissioner, the suspect, a native of Kaya village in Maradi area of Niger Republic, after being arrested with the boy, claimed she stole him to retaliate the theft and sale of her own boy too.

She later confessed that the need to raise money for her day to day upkeep also fuelled her resolve to steal the boy.
