Controversial Actor, Uche Maduagwu, has said that he was paid to slander Davido for not getting married to his ‘sister’ Chioma Rowland.
The Nation newspaper reported that for a while, Davido and his estranged fiancée, Chioma were an item that he even made a song titled “Assurance” for her in 2018.
The newspaper said: “Visuals of the song also featured the Chioma with whom he shares a Son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, with the theme of the song centred on the fact that the singer vowed to always love her.
“The duo got engaged in 2019 and was supposed to tie the nuptial knot in 2020 but that didn’t happen.
“Rumours of their breakup was on the lips of many and was further fuelled after several intimate pictures of a singer and a 22-year-old American Instagram model, Mya Yafai, hit the internet in 2021.
According to the newspaper, “In one of the pictures, the “Fem” singer was seen giving Yafai a French kiss.
“Maduagwu, as well as other online in-laws of Chioma after Davido’s failure to marry her seized every opportunity to backlash him.
“But Maduagwu has now made a u-turn as he sought the singer’s forgiveness over his incessant attacks.
“In an Instagram post, the media sensation wrote: “I was paid to criticise David for not getting married to my sis. Dear men, marriage no be by force. Biko forgive me. OBO you are more useful to us than audio Odogwu arrogance.”
