IGP hailed for creation of additional 4 Police Zonal Commands

The People for Good Leadership and Accountability (PEOGLA), a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) has praised the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, for the creation of new four additional police zone in the country.

The National Chairman of PEOGLA, Chris Okoye, stated this while speaking wth Journalists in Enugu on Tuesday.

According to the him, the move by the police force will consolidate security, as well as bring security in close proximity to the people.

He said the I-G did well in creating Police Zone 13 Command, comprising Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu States Police Commands; among the four additional Police Zonal Commands.


Okoye also stated that, there won’t be any delay of any kind as citizens can now report cases in the new zone, which is located at Ukpo community in Anambra State.

Speaking on the National Assembly renovation controversy, PEOGLA’s National Legal Adviser, Chief Nnabuike Ilo, said that political officer holders should help manage the available meager resources amidst global oil price fall.
