It’s time for total war as Governor talks tough against rampaging bandits

Following their proscription as terrorists by the federal government, Niger State governor, Abubakar Bello,
has declared a full fledged war against rampaging terrorists attacking the residents in his state.

According to a statement released by his chief press secretary, Mary Noel-Berge, the governor made the declaration following the death of 30 persons during the recent attack on Nakudna and Wurukuci communities in Shiroro LGA area of his state.

He said: “We are worried by the nefarious activities of these terrorists. Desperation has been noticed amongst them as a result of the onslaught of security agents which has made them target unsuspecting rural inhabitants.”

“It is now time that full-fledged war should be declared on these unscrupulous elements since they have been proscribed as terrorists.

“We cannot just allow these people to continue with this massacre,” the governor added.

The governor further commiserated with the families of the deceased and wished those who sustained injuries quick recovery.
