JUST IN; Stop providing charms for criminals; Police warn Native Doctors

Ebony State Police Command has issued a strong warning to native doctors in the state to stop providing criminal elements with charms and other fetish materials.

The Police Public Relations Officer of Ebonyi State, Loveth Odah who spoke on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said the command was committed to the protection of lives and properties in the state.

She therefore urged all native doctors, both in the state and the country at large not to mingle in any business that is unlawful and criminal in nature.

She also confirmed that the Command on April 30, discovered the decomposed corpses of 2 young men suspected to be victims of kidnapping in 2 shallow graves inside Uduku-Igbudu forest in Agubia, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi.

She said that the victims were blindfolded, then buried alive by their captors. She also revealed that their necks were tied with ropes when they were exhumed.


She said that 2 native doctors have been arrested in connection with the death of the 2 young men.

“The bodies have been exhumed and handed over to their relatives for proper burial, meanwhile Police investigation is at the concluding stage, “she added.
