Mammoth crowd, Heavy Police presence as MC Oluomo holds 5m Man march for Tinubu

There was a heavy presence of policemen in Lagos in the early hours of Sunday as a mammoth crowd defied heavy downpour for the proposed five million man march to pledge their support for the 2023 presidential ambition of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) standard-bearer, Bola Tinubu and the re-election bid of the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The rally, organised by the former chairman of the Lagos State branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers ( NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, took off at the Teslim Balogun Stadium and the National Stadium, Surulere before heading towards Oshodi through the Ikorodu Expressway.

As reported by Sunday Tribune, the mammoth crowd consisted mostly of members of the Park Management Committee.

There was also traffic bottleneck along Funsho Williams Avenue, Yaba, Ikorodu Road and neighbouring communities in Surulere.


Two Fuji musicians, Sulaimon Adio, popularly known as Atawewe and Sulaimon Alao joined the rally from where it took off.

Members of the popular Team Lagos, which comprises top transport union members, musicians and Lagos ” Big Boys” were part of the rally for APC candidates.
