Nigerian Air Force [NAF] react to alleged report of terrorist attack on its base

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF), in a statement has dismissed reports going round social media that its base in Kaduna was attacked by terrorists.

CRIMECHANNELS gathered that the Director Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet made the disclosure in a statement on Saturday. According to him, the false reports were the works of miscreants who he described as being enemies of the nation.

He said that the base was in no way attacked on Saturday, June 26, by so called Boko Haram or members of ISWAP.

He also said that the troops in the base were doing fine and as usual, going about their normal routines. He therefore urged members of the general public to disregard such information, adding that the Soldiers are fine.

The statement reads, “Merchants of fake news are at it again. This time around, their focus is on the premier Nigerian Air Force Base at Kaduna, which they claimed came under terrorist attack in the early hours of today, 26 June 2021.”

“Members of the public should please disregard the news as it is entirely false. There was nothing of such as the inhabitants of the entire Base are going about their normal activities and duties without any threat whatsoever.”
