Nigerian passenger dies mid-air during International flight, plane makes emergency landing
A 60-year-old Nigerian identified simply as Abdullah has reportedly died mid-air during a flight.
According to reports coming from the Jinnah International Airport, the man had boarded a Doha-bound IndiGo flight, but was declared dead as the flight made an emergency landing at the Karachi International Airport in Pakistan.
Before the flight 6E-1736 conveying the Nigerian made an emergency landing, the man had reportedly complained about an illness, which later became worsened before the man died in the plane.
While confirming the development, IndiGo in a statement said it was making arrangements for transferring the other passengers aboard.
“We are deeply saddened by the news and our prayers and wishes are with his family and loved ones. We’re currently making arrangements for transferring the other passengers of the flight, in coordination with the relevant authorities,” the statement said.
