Outrage as Gov lambasts residents for asking for update on bridge he’s been building for 6 years

The Governor of Abia State Okezie Ikpazu is currently facing backlash on social media over his recent reply to a question in an interview.

The Governor who was interviewed in a radio station seemed infuriated by the question of the interviewer.

The interviewer had asked why it had taken so long to complete the bridge, which his administration has been building for six years.

The Governor replied the interviewer asking her if she was the one that told her to build the bridge. He also stated that most of the people demanding updates on the flyover don’t have vehicles as they move about with thier legs.

He said “Are you the one that asked me to build the flyover? I started the flyover on my own because I saw the need for it. Most of the people demanding updates on the flyover don’t have vehicles, they are moving about with legs. What business does those walking have with flyover?


“They should be happy that we are almost done with the flyover; we are currently working on the stone base of the flyover.”

The Governor’s comment has faced heavy criticism on social media as some people are of the opinion that he is discriminating between the rich and poor.
