Police rewards keke Driver for helping in arrest of armed robbers

The Nigeria Police Force, NPF, has given money to a tricycle driver for his assistance in the arrest of armed robbers in Kano State.

While presenting the cash gift to the tricycle operator, Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, revealed this.

He stated that the tricycle driver was rewarded with cash for assisting police in the arrest of mobile phone robbery suspects in Kano.

He stated that police had received a report that suspected armed robbers on motorcycles had robbed his female passenger of her mobile phone at Gadon Kaya Quarters while she was traveling from Rijiyar Lemo Quarters to Sharada Quarters Kano.


According to him, the police patrol team swung into action right away, and the two suspects were apprehended with the help of the tricycle operator.

He stated that the two suspects were found with an Android phone and a sharp weapon.

According to the commissioner, the monetary gift will further encourage people to assist security agencies in combating crime and criminalities.

He advised the people of the state to avoid exposing their cellphones and other valuables while in transit.

He also stated that once the investigation is completed, suspects will be charged in court.

He praised the good people of the state and urged them to continue cooperating fully with the police and other security agencies.
