African Global Empowerment and Development Network (AGED), a Non-Governmental Organization [NGO], has promised to reconstruct and renovate all Police Training Institutions in the country.
This was was disclosed in a Press Statement signed by the Public Relation Officer of Nigeria Police Trust Fund [NPTF], Mrs Okuwobi Olabisi.
It was gathered that the promise was made by AGED Network President, Dr Majidadi Kontagora, when some delegates of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF), led by its Executive Secretary, Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto visited his office in Abuja.
In his speech, Dr. Majidadi, revealed the Network’s agenda for the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
He said, “we have created a platform to transform, renovate and reconstruct all training institutions in the Nigeria Police Force across the country.”
“We have secured funds internationally, we have secured support internationally and now we have secured the support of the NPTF.”
He further stated that a lot of Security Agencies have been patronizing the Network for intervention in their various programs but considering the mandate of the Nigeria Police Force as the best institution that has the mandate to secure the country, hence AGED Network’s intervention to transform the Police entire training institutions.
Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, while calling for more benevolent assistance and support from Non Governmental organizations like AGED network, lamented the lack of funds and support from the Federal Government.
Lastly, he thanked AGED Network for their act of kindness, adding that the kind gesture will go a long way in motivating and equipping the Nigeria Police Force.
