Three people killed, six others kidnapped in fresh terrorists’ attack

Suspected Boko-haram members have attacked Jouro Manu town in Taraba state’s Gassol local government area on Sunday afternoon, killing three people and kidnapping six others.

The Taraba state police command’s spokesperson, Gambo Bajabu Kwache, confirmed the incident and said police were already on the case to find the attackers.

Mallam Saidu Usman, a resident, told newsmen that the attackers arrived on 9 vectra and Bajaj motorcycles and began shooting sporadically.

“They came in the afternoon with two people each on a motorcycle and stated shooting at all over the place, killing three people on the spot and they abducted six others to unknown destination”.

It can be recalled that the immediate past chairman of Gassol local government, Mr Musa Abdullahi Chul, had previously raised the alarm that Boko-haram terrorists were regrouping in the local government’s forest, shortly before they detonated an Improvised Explosive Device at a Catholic Church in the area and also at a cattle market and military base in Jalingo.
