Three persons dead as victim of auto crash refuses to be taken to Hospital
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have confirmed that no fewer than three persons died in a road crash that occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan highway, Ogun State on Friday.
The FRSC said that the accident occurred around 5:22 a.m. near Danco filling station, involving nine persons, out of which “01 person was injured, 03 persons were recorded dead and others were unhurt.”
The injured victim was said to have refused to be taken to hospital by the FRSC for treatment.
According to the FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, the incident involved four vehicles: an Iveco truck marked SSU517XA; a Man Diesel container with registration number, T- 8493LA, and the other two vehicles with no number plates.
“The suspected cause of the multiple crash was speed, which led to loss of control on the part of one of the vehicles.
“The injured victim refused to be taken to hospital for medical attention.
“The 03 corpses were deposited at Idera Hospital mortuary,” she explained.
Meanwhile, the Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar, has cautioned motorists on speed violation, while advising the use of common sense and speed limit when visibility is poor.
