Two Herdsmen killed, one other injured in fresh bloody attack
A renewed fight between Fulani herdsmen and residents of two villages in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State has left two herders dead and one severely injured.
It will be recalled that the herdsmen on Wednesday accused the residents of the two villages of poisoning their cattle, while the residents on the other hand accused the Fulani of killing five of their persons in some villages of Bassa Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday.
However, on Thursday, the State Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), alleged that on Wednesday, Rigwe ethnic group in the Plateau villages killed two Fulani herders, adding that the bodies of the deceased were recovered together with security personnel including DCO Jos South and soldiers from Operation Safe Haven (OPSH).
But the spokesperson for the Rigwe ethnic group, Davidson Malison, debunked the allegation, describing it as baseless and unfounded.
