Two suspected bandits arrested with AK-47 riffle, pump action gun; reveal where they were recruited

Operatives of Amoteku operating in Oyo State, on Wednesday, apprehended 2 suspected bandits at Alapa Village, Lanlate town in Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo State.

CRIMECHANNELS gathered that the operatives recovered one Ak-47, one locally made dane gun and one pump action rifle from the bandits upon arrest.

Also recovered from them were 82 rounds 7.62mm ammunition and 7 cartridges, among other deadly weapons.

The identities of the suspected bandits were given as; Mumini Saliu and Ibrahim Suleiman. According to reports, they were of Fulani origin.

During interrogation, the suspects, who could only speak in their language, disclosed that they were recruited from Katsina State by their leader.

Meanwhile, the media unit of Amotekun said the bandits have been handed over to the Director of State Services (DSS), Oyo State Command, for further investigation and prosecution.
