We will chase Atiku, Ayu from our Party – PDP Governor makes promises

In continuation of his affront against the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has threatened to frustrate the party’s national chairman, Dr Iyiorcha Ayu, and it’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, out of the opposition party.

Speaking at the commissioning of a road project in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State on Thursday, the governor argued that it was the refusal of the PDP’s national leadership to obey the party’s constitution that caused their defeat at the February 25 presidential election.

The governor avowed that he will embark on a rebuilding process of the party during which both Atiku and Ayu will be bundled out.

“These people left our party in 2014-2015, our party lost; again they came back, our party has lost again.

“They have destroyed our party. We are going to chase them away from our party. They have no role to play for our party,” Wike said.

The governor further argued that the PDP’s national leadership has no moral ground to question the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Yakubu Mahmood, when they (PDP) have not obeyed the party’s constitution to the latter.

He further mocked the PDP leaders for staging the protest against INEC describing the party leaders as “students unions.”
